Scaling of keV HHG Photon Yield with Drive Wavelength

Abstract

Based on the single atom response, we show that high harmonic generation (HHG) with longer wavelength pumps (1.5-3μm) outperforms the traditional 0.8μm pump by many orders of magnitude in terms of photon yield above 1keV.
