Abstract
Radial polarizers in the input of a lens can form the focus to a spot or ring like shape. We present two different radial polarizers which transmit the azimuthal component of the light field, one on the basis of Brewster’s angle and one made from a dichriotic plastic foil. We measured the polarization characteristics of our devices and discuss some possible applications.
