Second harmonic generation is applied to study nonlinear-optical and magneto-optical properties of Au/Co/Au nanosandwiches in the spectral vicinity of the plasmon resonance. Comparison with reference homogeneous structure reveals plasmon-assisted modifications of magneto-optical response of nanosandwiches.
