Abstract

Fabrication of high performance low cost miniature optical systems are possible through the use of hybrid glass/plastic optics and DXRL based optomechanics. Self aligning optomechanics maintain tight alignment tolerances needed for high performance (large NA) optical systems eliminating labor intensive assembly.
