302 W Diode-Pumped Cryogenic Yb:YAG Ceramics Zigzag Slab Laser with 60% Conversion Efficiency

Abstract

A novel high power laser architecture has been demonstrated using a cryogenic Yb:YAG ceramics slab in zigzag optical geometry. The laser oscillator has generated 302-W CW output power with optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 60.6%.
