Giant Goos-Hänchen Effect at Photonic Crystals Surfaces

Abstract

Giant Goos-Hänchen effect is directly observed in surface electromagnetic waves at one-dimensional photonic crystals surfaces using far-field optical microscopy visualization and achieves one order of magnitude in comparison with total internal reflection from dielectric surface.
