Observation of Spectral Gouy Shift in Large Cross-Section Fiber Bragg Gratings

Abstract

We observed an unexpectedly broad spectral response in large cross-section fiber Bragg gratings (LCFBG), which can be attributed to a longitudinal Gouy phase shift due to loss of guiding in the perturbed region of the LCFBG.
