Optical Manipulation and Sizing of Aerosol Droplets using Bessel Beams

Abstract

Investigation of sub-micron aerosol particles can provide insight into cloud forming properties. Bessel beam optical trapping techniques are used to confine and characterise droplets using elastic scattered light and cavity ring down techniques.
