Abstract

Plasmonic nanocavities are physical realizations of nanoscale classical oscillator systems. Via a variety of example drawn from the optical and infrared part of the spectrum, we will discuss systems exhibiting Fano resonances or broadband light harvesting behaviour. A particular focus will lie on transformation optics as a design tool, and the coupling to nanoscale light emitters.
