Abstract

Terahertz birefringence of Cr:YVO4 and Cr,Ca:YVO4 crystals were determined by THz time-domain spectroscopy. The birefringence of Cr:YVO4 and Cr,Ca:YVO4 at 1.0 THz were found to be as large as 1.01 and 0.95, respectively.
