Three-Dimensional Fourier-Transform Second-Harmonic Generation Microscopy for Quantification of Collagen Fiber Organization in Biological Tissues

Abstract

Fourier transform-second harmonic generation imaging has previously been shown to be useful in quantifying collagen fiber organization in 2D. Here, we generalize this approach to 3D and calculate preferred fiber orientations for porcine sclera.
