Abstract

We have demonstrated multi mega-watt high-brightness pulses generation from a Nd:YAG/Cr4+:YAG ceramic microchip laser and an efficient laser ignition in the real gasoline engine compared with spark plug. Further possibilities of giant micro-photonics are discussed.
