Distribution Changes with Aging of Macular Cones Imaged with an Adaptive Optics Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscope

Abstract

Changes with age in the distribution of cone photoreceptors were measured with Adaptive Optics Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscopy. Cones densities for younger subjects were uncorrelated at central vs. more peripheral locations, but correlated for older subjects.
