Plasmonic and photonic structures for nanoparticle trapping, color filtering and single molecule SERS

Abstract

We trap nanoparticles using surface plasmons and silicon photonics. We demonstrate color filters that map the polarization state of incident white light to color. We demonstrate SERS substrates with sensitivities sufficient for single molecule detection.
