Two Color Approach to Separating Surface and Bulk Sensitivity in a Photonic Crystal Biosensor

Abstract

The resonance wavelength shift in photonic crystal detection of bio-molecule binding kinetics includes unwanted contributions from the bulk medium. We present a multi-parametric approach to separate contributions of surface and bulk from a single measurement.
