Narrow-Linewidth Photonic Microwave Generation Using Nonlinear Dynamics of Semiconductor Lasers Under Optical Injection with Dual-Loop Feedback

Abstract

Period-one nonlinear dynamics of a semiconductor laser under optical injection and dual-loop feedback is investigated. Photonic microwave generation at 35.83 GHz with a linewidth below 50 kHz is realized without modulation electronics.
