Temporal Characterization of Nanofocusing of Ultrafast Surface Plasmons Coupled onto a Gold Tapered Tip

Abstract

Spatiotemporal nanofocusing of surface plasmon polariton excited by femtosecond laser pulses on a sharp conical Au tip with a tip edge radius of few tens of nanometers is measured with cross-correlation dark-field microscopy.
