Frequency Combs in Telecommunications Applications

Abstract

The state of the art parametric combs for transmission systems and data-center applications are discussed in detail. Most prominently, the flexible implementation capable of maintaining coherence across thousands of generated lines at a fraction of dissipation of discrete lasers is shown to be fully compliant with the emerging transmission systems’ requirements.
