On the Wavelength Dependence of the Suppressed Ionization of Molecules in Strong Laser Fields

Abstract

We study ionization of molecules by an intense laser field from 0.6-10 μm. Suppression of the ionization is found for many molecules compared to the atoms with identical IP at near-infrared, but not at longer wavelengths due to interference effects in the electron emission.
