Remote preparation of a single atom quantum memory

Abstract

Here, using atom-photon entanglement, we experimentally demonstrate the preparation of a distant single atom quantum memory via a quantum teleportation protocol. We evaluated the performance by a full tomography of the prepared atomic state.
