Abstract

We propose a quantum nondemolition measurement of photon-holes by electromagnetically-induced transparency schemes. Upon photon-hole arrival the destructive interference of electron transition amplitudes is destroyed, resulting in absorption of a drive photon preserving the photon-hole state.
