Spontaneous Emission-Free Photon Echoes for Quantum Memory Appications

Abstract

Using double rephasing and control deshelving, the inherent spontaneous emission noise is removed in photon echoes, where the spontaneous emission noise has been a major hurdle of direct use of photon echoes into quantum memories.
