Abstract

Because the wide span of a cable crossing a river and the strong wind over the river, the cable crossing the river always has very big vibrant range which may lead to the crack of the cable and bring great economic loss. The system is developed and used to measure the vibrant track of the cable crossing a river. It can image the vibrant track of the cable on the CCD plane. By data collecting and processing, we can judge whether the vibration is beyond the safe range and take further measures to avoid the crack of the cable.
