An Efficient Method for Analyzing Two-Dimensional Photonic Crystal Devices

Abstract

For two-dimensional photonic crystal devices, we develop an improved Dirichlet-to-Neumann map method that incorporates an operator marching scheme for reducing memory requirement and the Bloch mode expansion technique for improving the efficiency when the structure has partial periodicity.
