Temperature-enhanced light emission from Er-TeO2 Photonic Crystals

Abstract

Photonic crystals are fabricated in Er-doped TeO2 films. Strong photoluminescence around 1530 nm is observed by 488-532 nm laser pumping. 98x enhanced emission is demonstrated after annealing the thin films at 600°C.
