Ultrafast nonlinearities and dispersion in slow-light photonic crystal lattices

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

We describe the ab initio control of photons in highly-dispersive slow-light photonic crystals and superlattices. Ultrafast nonlinearities such as chip-scale four-wave mixing, regenerative oscillations, self-phase modulation, and phase-resolved soliton dynamics and compression will be highlighted.
