Optical coupling between a silicon-based photonic crystal nanocavity and a gold-based split-ring resonator

Abstract

We report an optical coupling between a silicon-based photonic-crystal nanocavity and a gold-based split-ring resonator. The measured Q factors and polarization characteristics of the coupling system are in very good agreement with simulations.
