Spatial Diffusion of Carriers in A Quantum Dot System Grown by Shadow Mask Controlled Epitaxy

Abstract

We use slit-confocal microscopy to study spatial diffusion of carriers between quantum dot ensembles coupled through a wide wire-like barrier. When carriers are photo-excited above in this barrier the diffusion on a scale of 5 microns has been observed.
