Large increase in spectral continuum generation efficiency of silver and gold semicontinuous films near the percolation threshold

Abstract

Photoluminescence continuum generation from semicontinuous silver and gold films was observed between 500 and 1050 nm, with efficiency much higher near the percolation threshold and with similar spectral dependence for the two metals.
