Light storage using an Atomic Frequency Comb

Abstract

We experimentally investigate the quantum storage capability of a thulium doped crystal by using the Atomic Frequency Comb (AFC) protocol. Preliminary results gives a 9% efficiency. Potential improvements are discussed based on a simple model.
