Abstract

We report operation of a passively quenched silicon-SPAD at extremely low dark count rate of 5 Hz. While the quantum efficiency remained constant from -32<sup>o</sup>C down to -77<sup>o</sup>C, the after-pulsing depended on the cooling temperature.
