Abstract

Optical media are ideal for storing sensitive information as they can be removed and secured. DataPlay’s technology takes advantage of this; encrypted keys are stored on the media itself, content is separately encrypted and accessed through key exchange. Web enabled versions (ContentKey®) and password based systems (PassPlay®) have been developed and introduced using the DataPlay 32 mm small form factor optical drive & media.
