Abstract

Holographic memory has been being expected as post Blu-ray disc because this pagewise memory enables us to provide high data density more than 1TB and high data transfer rate more than 1Gbps at the same time. In this memory, until now, many multiplexing techniques such as angle multiplexing1 and polytopic multiplexing2 have been proposed. However, although these methods permit the storage density of several hundred GB/disc, it is considerably small compared to the 3-dimensional (3-D) recording density limits with hundreds of TB/disc.
