Heat release imaging of acoustically forced turbulent flames

Abstract

Simultaneous OH and CH2O PLIF imaging provides instantaneous two-dimensional heat-release rate measurements for investigating an acoustically forced bluff body stabilized flame. Results will provide insight into combustion instabilities in low emission gas turbine combustors.
