Imaging Scalar Dissipation in Flames

Abstract

Simultaneous imaging of mixture fraction, temperature, scalar dissipation and reaction rate in a turbulent flame is described. Measurements are based on the detection of polarized/ depolarized Rayleigh scattering and PLIF measurements of OH and CO.
