Fluorescence lifetime imaging using cheap LEDs as illumination; application in microchannels

Abstract

We describe a frequency-domain fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM) setup that uses cheap LEDs for illumination. The application of this system is demonstrated by measuring lifetime changes caused by the diffusion of iodide ions across a microchannel.
