Estimate of Refractive Index Changes of Optical Waveguides Recorded by Femtosecond Laser in LiF Crystal

Abstract

A technique to estimate the refractive index increase in optical waveguide core, recorded in lithium fluoride crystal by femtosecond laser pulses, by an inverted scalar wave equation is used. The estimated refractive index changes are consistent with published data.
