Abstract

We propose and experimentally demonstrate an extrinsic tapered fiber Fabry-Perot interferometer (EFPI) with improved fringe visibility. Scaling-down the original diameter of the lead-in fiber to the half allows to increase the air-cavity up to 2000 μm.
