Enhanced backscattering measurements in bovine pericardium tensile tests

Abstract

We use enhanced backscattering measurements to study the mean-free-path (MFP) in a sample of bovine pericardium undergoing tensile tests. The results show that the optical data correlate well with the mechanical features of the tissue.
