Abstract

Experimental factors affecting laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy applied to steel making slags are investigated. Laser plasmas generated with pellet samples prepared from oxides (CaO, Fe2O3, SiO2, Al2O3) and metallic Fe are characterized by emission spectroscopy.
