Optical and Electrical Detection of Spin-Polarized Transport

Abstract

Spin transport in lateral ferromagnet-semiconductor-ferromagnet devices is studied using magneto-optical Kerr microscopy and electrical transport. Spin polarization images are obtained near the source and drain. Spin accumulation at the drain is detected electrically.
