Abstract

Luminescent Er<sup>3+</sup>-doped BaTiO<sub>3</sub> nanocrystals were investigated in different media (air, water and glycerol) and temperatures (27 to 47 °C). The results showed that the nonradiative relaxation rate experienced by Er<sup>3+</sup> changes with the particle size.
