The nano-optics of plasmonic optical tweezers, SERS substrates and multi-colored silicon nanowires

Abstract

We demonstrate nanoparticle manipulation using surface plasmons. We fabricate optical antennas for SERS, with gaps down to 3 nm. We demonstrate that silicon nanowires take on a surprising variety of colors covering the visible spectrum.
