Optomechanical Transduction of Nanocantilevers by High-Q Bandedge States of a Dispersion-Engineered Photonic Crystal Waveguide

Abstract

Optical transduction of femtogram nanocantilevers is performed by high-Q bandedge states of a dispersion-engineered photonic crystal waveguide. Optomechanical multiplexing of the nanocantilevers is demonstrated with a best displacement sensitivity of 73 fm/Hz1/2.
