Optical properties of MgF2 composite films dispersed with Au or Ag nanoparticles synthesized by sol-gel method

Abstract

Absorption spectra due to the surface plasmon resonance (SPR) in porous MgF2 films embedded with Au or Ag nanoparticles were analyzed considering the effective medium approximation relating with the particle size distributions obtained by TEM.
