Abstract

Terahertz (THz) semiconductor quantum devices and their application to communication have been introduced. A THz quantum-well photodetector (QWP) has been used to characterize the emission spectrum of the THz quantum cascade laser (QCL). We demonstrate the transmission of real-time audio signal based on the THz QCL and QWP.
