Abstract

A novel magnetically tunable left-handed material based on YIG/SRR was designed. Both theoretical analysis and calculation results show that the presented structure achieves a left-handed pass band in the THz frequency range. Furthermore, it is found that the left-handed pass band leads to a blue-shift as the external applied magnetic field was increased and it can be tunable by external magnetic field. Due to the charming features of good pass-band performance, low loss, and easy fabrication, the proposed structure has a wide implementation of future terahertz wave functional devices.
