Quasimodal decomposition of the spatially extended field within a nominally localized 1D open random waveguide

Abstract

The microwave field is measured inside a random waveguide to reveal multiple peaks in space whenever spectral features are not Lorentzian. The wave is then decomposed into underlying Lorentzian quasimodes which dominate transmission.
