Optical necklace states in Anderson localized 1D systems

Abstract

We report on the observation of nonlocalized modes, known as necklace states, in Anderson localized multilayers with positional disorder. Multiple resonant tunnelling transport, characteristic of these modes, was studied both through time-resolved and phase-resolved measurements.
