Extraordinary Light Transmission through Quasicrystal Arrays of Holes in a Metal Film

Abstract

We report on the first observation of extraordinary transmission exhibited by arrays of holes arranged in a 2D quasicrystal in both microwave and optical parts of the spectrum, indicating a non-plasmon nature of the effect.
